Email Import
Nobody likes moving their emails. It's a tiresome and stressful task. With CrossBox, importing emails is simple. Just enter your email address details, put your feet up, and relax while the import tool takes care of everything.
Can I import my emails from any IMAP server?
Yes. You'll need:
- IMAP hostname
- Email address
- Password
Can I import my emails from Gmail?
Yes, but you can't use your Gmail password directly, since that is not allowed by Gmail. Instead, you need to enable 2FA for the Gmail account, create an app password and then use that app password instead: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en&ref_topic=7189145
Do I need to wait until the import job finishes?
No, you can continue using the app while the importing continues in the background. Most recent emails are imported first, so you can get to emailing as soon as possible.
Will it also create and import the IMAP folders from the source?
You can select which mailboxes you want or don't want to import from the remote server, optionally mapping them to the local ones. Once you click the import button, CrossBox will automatically create the mail folder structure you defined and then continue importing emails into the appropriate mailboxes.
